Strategic Plan
In February 2025 our Board of Directors approved our first ever 3-Year Strategic Plan (created with the consultation services of Skystone Partners) that will guide us into our next chapter. We are thrilled to share some of the details of this plan with you below for community transparency and accountability.

This Strategic Plan creation process with Skystone Partners was funded by a generous gift The Ghostlight Stage Company received from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation.

Grand Strategy Statement:

Ghostlight Stage Company envisions a community where the transformative power of “the stage” is accessible to everyone, regardless of financial, physical, or social barriers. By 2028, we will establish ourselves as a leader in creating innovative, inclusive, and high-quality artistic events and educational offerings while fostering a welcoming space for diverse audiences and artists. This includes being a trailblazer in Greater Cincinnati by maintaining our fierce commitment to fair pay. Prioritizing our values, we will deepen our impact within our community and create a model for what a truly equitable arts organization can achieve.
As we grow, we will focus clearly defining and communicating who we are, our values, and what we stand for. Operational excellence will be a cornerstone of our three-year vision as we create efficient systems to ensure the long-term success of the organization. Our fundraising strategy prioritizes sustainable revenue streams while ensuring accessibility remains at the heart of our mission. Through expanding our network, we will amplify our mission, broaden our influence, and invite more people to explore what could happen on the stage.
Together, these strategic priorities will enable Ghostlight Stage Company to thrive as a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful organization, ensuring that art in Cincinnati remains a powerful tool for connection, empathy, and inspiration for all.

The four key goals of our Strategic Plan are:

1. DEFINE AND EXEMPLIFY THAT GSC IS AN ARTS ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO ACCESSIBILITY BY ACTIVELY REMOVING BARRIERS TO ENTRY AND FOSTERING INCLUSIVE PARTICIPATION IN CINCINNATI'S ARTS SCENE.

2. DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE COMPANY HANDBOOK THAT ENSURES BALANCED OVERSIGHT ACROSS ALL STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS WHILE ALIGNING OPERATIONS WITH THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION.

3. CREATE DIVERSE STREAMS OF REVENUE TO SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORT STAFF AND ORGANIZATIONAL OFFERINGS.

4. EXPAND OFFERINGS TO STRATEGICALLY ENGAGE A BROADER AUDIENCE OF PARTICIPANTS AND PATRONS, WITH A FOCUSED PRESENCE IN TARGET NEIGHBORHOODS.
